Grab your clubs, hop on the R train and head to Dyker Beach Golf Course. The well-maintained course boasts 18-holes, rolling fairways, and views of the Verrazano Bridge peeking out behind the 7th hole. It’s also easy to get to by car; the course is right off the BQE.

Book a Tee-Time: New York City golfers can book a tee-time online for the 18 holes or 9 holes up to 10 days in advance. Reservations cost $4.00 to book online, and you must prove your eligibility for the resident rate at the course.

Beware of Back-Breaking Sundays: Dyker rotates its pins on a regular basis to minimize the wear and tear on the course. On Sundays, the course moves the pins to the most difficult part of the greens, making putting either infuriating or extra-satisfying.

Tip: The course sometimes offers special rates. Check in online to see if there anything is available before you go.

Getting there: The course is located at 86th St. & 7th Avenue. Take the R train to 86th Street and walk southeast to get to the course entrance.
